We're a Gold Coast handyman and property maintenance business. To quote, do the work and invoice you, we need to hold a small amount of your personal information. This page explains — in plain English — what we collect, why, and what we do (and don't do) with it. We manage personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
That's it. We don't collect dates of birth, identity documents, financial account details (payments come to us, we never sight your banking), or any health information.
Your details and job records are stored on our own secured business systems in Australia — not in overseas cloud databases. Access is restricted and protected. Documents we send you (quotes, invoices, reports) travel by email to the address you gave us.
Before and after photos are taken of the work area only, are attached to your job record, and appear in the work report we send you. If we'd ever like to use a photo to show our work publicly (for example on this website), we'll ask for your permission first — and "no" is a perfectly fine answer.
You can ask us at any time for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within a reasonable time, without charge. One limit: invoices and related job records must by law be kept for at least five years for taxation purposes — we can't delete those early, but we can and will delete everything else on request.
We don't send marketing. You'll only hear from us about your actual enquiry, quote, booking, job or invoice — plus, after a completed job, we may invite you to leave a review. If we ever introduce a newsletter or offers, they'll be strictly opt-in with an unsubscribe link.
If you have any concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first at [email protected] — we'll do our best to fix it promptly. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
